Dear Colleen, What a fabulous opportunity Sebastopol Primary School had in receiving 17 trees to plant around our school. Term 3 saw the beginning of a small-scale kitchen garden program. This meant for the senior students and myself a chance to research, plan and develop our very own garden from scratch. Part of the plan for our garden was a small orchard of apple, pear, lemon and cherry trees and a shaded playing area on the top oval. Thanks to the Fifteen Trees program and Harrisons Funerals, we were able to achieve these two goals. The students have gained a huge sense of pride for ‘their’ schools trees and understand the value of planting for the future. Nadine Ogilvie | Classroom teacher | Sebastopol PSThank you Maree and Brian for your continued support of our local schools and their tree planting projects.
