Recently seventeen mature trees were given to Miners Rest Primary School for their school grounds.
At Miners Rest Primary School students planted a number of fruit trees and various other plants around the school grounds. The fruit trees will support our kitchen garden program. Our thanks go to the following organisations for making this possible. Colleen Filippa, (Fifteen Trees) who emailed an offer of free trees for the school. These plants were sponsored by Brian and Maree Harrison (Harrison Funerals), both of whom were able to attend the planting. The trees were available from Gary and Lynnette at the Avalon Nursery in Haddon. The Ballarat Courier also attended the planting. Thanks again to everyone who made this possible.
