Two trees for two women.

TREES PLANTED

Two very special trees have been planted by students at the Specialist Farm School in Ballarat on the behalf of 2 very special women. The trees, will provide future shade for students and teachers, as well as enhance the beauty of the school grounds. The trees have been planed in memory of Yutha Valpied (93 years old) and Jacinta Quinn (in her prime). The mature elms were sourced from Avalon Native Nursery at Haddon (Central Victoria). I wanted to have a tree planted for both my dear friend Mary, who lost her mother last year and my favorite cousin Celestine who unfairly lost his beautiful sister Jacinta earlier this month. A Poem by Helen Jackson (1830-1885). The tree looked on the stars, but loved the Brook! O silver-voiced! if thou wouldst wait, My love can bravely woo. All smiles forsook The brook’s white face. Too late! Too late! I go to wed the sea. I know not if my love would curse or bless thee. I may not, dare not, tarry to caress thee, Oh, do not follow me! Slainte – Colleen
