Out at the Brisbane Ranges there is a dynamite landcare group who are very proactive when it come to re-vegetating the native species of flora. Fifteen Trees has been supplying Neil Day and his group for the past 2 years with trees from Eco-Regeneration Nursery at Sutherland’s Creek.

This time round, 825 trees were supplied to the group of which 246 were generously paid for by the following companies and individuals. Namely – Siobhan from B’itch Body Oils (beautiful body lotion company from Moreland) continues to support our native environment with another 30 trees, Angus & Celeste (fantastic ceramic home-ware and jewellery designers) have helped out yet again with 75 trees, switched on niece Pip Quon from Partycles has bought 30 trees while Angela Petruzzi from Livos Australia (natural eco-paints and oils) has helped out also with 30 trees. Bron Rust from Yogaville yoga studio in Preston has helped reduce the carbon emissions of her work car (15 trees) for the year. Bron teaches Iyengar yoga, which I have been doing (or rather attempting to do) for many years.

Two woman who found me via Google search (good surfing there) have both generously chipped in to have 15 trees planted. Thank you to Eve Lamb and Helen Pritchard.
That leaves 36 trees which I have had planted on the behalf of 2 women whom I wanted to introduce to you too. Namely Kemi Nekvapil, (Raw Food Queen) and Karen Andrews (Miscellaneous Mum).
Kemi planted 21 fruit trees in her back yard and I thought it would be nice if I could match that number of trees with native trees. I’ve written before about Kemi, she is truly an inspiration for anyone wanting to eat healthier.
Karen Andrews (from Miscellaneous Mum) ran a writer’s workshop (Blogging 101) at the Wheeler Centre earlier this year. So, I thought I’d plant 15 trees as a gesture of my appreciation to her and fellow attendees. A special hello to the gang.
So, all up – 246 trees planted thanks to 9 amazingly generous women.

WPA acknowledges that when it comes to environmental initiatives, its people are its strength. It has recently partnered with us to plant 15 trees for each hard-working staff member identified as a Sustainability Warrior.
Tasman Cottage already gives you a chance to reconnect with nature, yet its manager Nick has taken an important next step. He recently purchased 150 trees in collaboration with us here at Fifteen Trees, an action which ensures vital habitat for our native fauna, such as the unique Tassie Devil.
