Metcalfe Wildlife Corridor, Victoria.

TREES PLANTED

Dear Colleen, Our Landcare groups has been going for 4 years now, with members focusing on works on their own land. We coincided our AGM with plant pick up, so our members felt really special taking home their own box of plants. Metcalfe is situated in the beautiful granitic rolling hills of Central Victoria. Thank you muchly to your supporters.  Debbie Farmer, Secretary, Metcalfe Landcare.

These 320 trees have been dotted amongst the native shrubs on a beautiful piece of land that backs onto the Metcalfe Nature Conservation Reserve. They will boost the wildlife corridor and eventually provide more homes for the resident family of Tawny Frogmouth.

The trees at Metcalfe have been generously donated by Kings Cars of Ballarat. Peter King has now ‘carbon offset’ 100 cars, as a result 1500 new trees have been planted and numerous community groups supported – including Metcalfe Landcare. Thank you Peter for your ongoing commitment to our native environment. A greenie at heart.

Slainte – Colleen
